Crafted in the Methode Champenoise of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, this recently disgorged sparkler from Carneros brings richness and complexity immediately after popping the cork. A gorgeous deep yellow hue and fine bead bring up aromatics of lemon curd, perfectly ripe apple, and chamomile blossoms. Richness and character move through to the palate with full flavors that rest on a frame of crisp acidity and complete yet resolved finish. | falling bright
Sourced from own rooted vines planted at the Happy Canyon Vineyard in the east side of the Santa Ynez Valley. The wine is fermented using native yeast. Once dry, we rack the juice and press off the whole cluster lots. The wine is transferred to neutral oak barrels for the winter. Once malo is complete we transfer to tank prior to bottling. | Lieu Dit
This vibrant wine shows the power and restraint of Howell Mountain. First, a powerful bouquet of rose petals, African violets and lavender greet your nose. Next, wanting to show its true colors you will find balanced fruit attributes of Bing cherries, plums and cranberries on the palate. A mountain wine at heart, graphite and iron are also ever-present. In an effort to show its youthfulness, this medium bodied wine with lively acidity and inviting freshness finishes with energetic yet refined tannins. | Gentry
