A beautiful vintage of our crowd favorite. A blend of Charbono, Petite Sirah, and Syrah. Hand harvested, sorted in the winery, fermented individually in puncheons, pressed to barrel, aged in used French oak for 28 months. | Matt Morris Wines...It's another deep purple-hued effort from Morris and has a rich, powerful nose of darker currant and blue fruits interwoven with chocolate, sappy herbs, violets, and graphite, with a terrific chalky minerality that comes through on the finish. It hits the palate with surprising elegance and purity and is medium to full-bodied, with a vibrant spine of acidity, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's drinking nicely today, yet I see no reason it shouldn't evolve 10-12 years with ease. | 94 points, Jeb Dunnuck for jebdunnuck.com
