Frank Farella founded Farella-Park Vineyards in 1985 in a small, 400 square foot winery next to his house in Napa. His long-sought goal to grow fine wine grapes from a modest, depression-era background was a story that unfolded slowly and steadily. Tom Farella took the helm of winemaking for their family estate following his education at U.C. Davis and a wealth of experience from around Napa, Sonoma, Oregon, and France. Tom was elemental in the creation of the Coombsville AVA, submitting the petition to the federal government in 2009 and gaining the official designation as Napa Valley's 16th sub-AVA in November 2011. Tom now shares responsibilities with winemaker Ryan Pass.Following over 42 vintages of crafting excellent wines from their estate fruit, the Farella family retains one-third of their vineyard production for their estate bottlings while the remaining two-thirds is under a long-term contract with Realm Cellars. | Farella Family Vineyard
