While Benoit Touquette usually comes off as so serious, there really is a playful side to his winemaking and we have discovered that in his Teeter-Totter wines. With a sampling of both vineyards and varietals from across the Napa Valley including Calistoga, St. Helena, Pritchard Hill, and Yountville, we get a fun-loving red blend based on Cabernet Sauvignon with some added personality from Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc. Everyone is coming out to play - the blackberry, raspberry, and black plum are plump and juicy contrasting nicely with the smells of summer in dried lavender, fresh thyme, and violets. With the balanced touch of 50% new French oak, the texture is lithe and inviting. | Falling Bright
