2021 J. Bucher Pinot Noir Bucher Vineyard | Russian River Valley Sonoma California 750ml

Our 2021 single vineyard comes from eight blocks in our estate vineyard and is comprised from eight clones. We had a relatively early start to the growing season with bud break the 3rd week of February. Cool foggy mornings and moderate afternoon temperatures highlighted the 2021 harvest as we shepherded the fruit from vines to vats. Harvest started on the 23red of August with a few smaller picks but ramped up quickly around the 30th. Yields were plus or minus average and fruit quality looked fantastic!
Seamlessly seductive aromatics of rose petal, Darjeeling tea, sandalwood, red fruit, and an inviting earthiness fill the nose. The silken entry reveals plush cherry and youthful raspberry with traces of cranberry and red licorice. Notes of caramel, vanilla, cola, cigar box and baking spices join in, adding complexity while enhancing the wine's appeal.
