When we sold out of the 2020 Rose in seconds, it became abundantly clear that we need to redistribute these pink moments more judiciously. Never in our wildest dreams did we envision those scant 100 six-packs would elicit such enthusiasm... *If* you had the opportunity to drink one of last year's bottles, this will come as no surprise to you that our style is a bit different from the norm...Our Rose delivers something different - a hybrid - something akin to that of a Pinot Noir or a light-bodied Grenache, but with a white wine quality that is derived from the very fact that we craft them in a fashion more comparable to our white wine than our reds. We allow the skins to macerate with the juice to extract that eye-catching hibiscus/cranberry color, but we do not allow the grape skins o ferment with the juice. That's a big difference, make no mistake about it....We find it delicious, complex and most intriguing. This ain't your grandma's white zin, folks. Mixed berries, brown spice and granny smith apple come to mind. 903 bottles [not cases] made. | Nikolas & Julia Krankl for Fingers Crossed
